While the advances in Cellular/Mobile technology enables us to do more with our handsets and serve to enhance our standards of communication, it should be noted that at times the misuse of our phones can have much more of an effect than first realised.

With current phones enabling the capture of video, it appears that for a minority, the temptation to abuse a feature of our handsets becomes too hard to resist.

A growing trend has seen people taking part in quite cruel group actions, that of course results in what usually happens to be an innocent individual being quite seriously hurt and in extreme cases leading to fatalities.
We should not be afraid to have fun with technology and we should make the most of the resources that we are lucky to have access to.
But when we put others in danger for the sake of entertainment between friends, it then becomes a whole different story.
The so called Happy Slapping craze will hopefully be just that "a craze" and will sink into the background as a better understanding by the younger generation realise that filming a crime and then distributing it amongst friends will only lead to serious consequences.

It's fair to say that at times we have to make mistakes in order to see where we can improve and most people definately learn from their mistakes.

The whole negativity of the Happy Slapping craze should not get in the way of Cellular/Mobile technology, when children, for example realise how wrong an action like Happy Slapping is.
While it cant be expected or accepted both now and in the future to dictate to people exactly how and appropriately to use their phones, it should be our place in the world of technology to provide guidance and assistance and inspiration to the younger generations, in particular, to enable them and of course everyone else to benefit from technology.
We can all gain and learn and have access to the most suitable products that will enable us to share useful and also entertaining content.

The Cellular/Mobile arena is amazing, it's inspiring and a very positive medium, some of us are excited by the gadget side of our handsets while others are attracted to the sheer looks of a beautiful phone and a combination of the two for others.
We all like to get our hands on what is new, it may be a new feature of the phone itself or a new Ringtone, Video or Game, we like to keep up with the latest trends.
There is lots to look forward to in the future too, we should show responsibility with technology but above all we should have fun too.
