Multiple, multiple sites have relayed the news that Korean handset company VK Mobile is going under. According to Chosun Ilbo, the company, which started making handsets only in 2002, but recently had a big design hit with the Helio Kickflip, got squeezed between Nokia and Motorola, and took a hit when Vodafone stopped carrying their gear. Top that with the won rising rapidly against the dollar, and the company can't keep it's head above water. The company is probably most recently remembered by mobile analysts for sending topless booth bunnies around CeBIT, a move for which it got more stick than it probably expected.
